The Sea Ranch and Theories of Place

Patricia Morton, an Associate Professor of architectural history who has lectured and published widely on architectural history and race, gender, and identity. Drawing on the Turnbull / MLTW Collection held by the EDA, Morton will discuss how the design of The Sea Ranch was informed by contemporaneous theories of place as posited by Charles Moore, Donlyn Lyndon, Lawrence Halprin, and others.
